BECOME PART OF OUR LEGACY

The Story Continues: Preserving the Epps-McGill Legacy

Help us turn this historic witness into a living museum

Our Legacy: For over a century, the Epps-McGill Farmhouse has stood as a silent witness to the evolution of Kingstree and the resilience of the McGill family. As a rare surviving Folk Victorian structure associated with the history of African American land ownership and tenant farming, its walls hold stories that must be told.

The Project: We have partnered with History Before Us to document these untold narratives. This video is more than a documentary; it is a call to action. To transition from a private preservation effort to a public museum and community resource, we need your help.

The Need: Every dollar raised through this campaign goes directly toward:

  • Foundation Stabilization: Ensuring the structure stands for another 120 years.
  • Restoration Crafts: Repairing original plaster, woodwork, and the unique Folk Victorian bay windows.
  • Modern Essentials: Essential electrical and plumbing upgrades to prepare the space for public visitors.

Please make a one time or recurring donation to support the restoration of the
Epps-McGill Farmhouse.

Every donation, big or small, will help us restore, maintain, and improve the Farmhouse and its land.
All donations are Tax Deductible.
